Mike is a strong supporter of Proposition 36 on the November 5th ballot. If passed, this measure would increase sentence lengths and other criminal penalties for drug dealers who sell fentanyl, serial smash-and-grab shoplifters and individuals who break into cars, homes and small businesses.
Currently, these drug dealers, smash-and-grab shoplifters, cars theives, and small criminals are being charged with misdemeanor offenses.
These thieves, and criminals are given a slap on the wrist, and set free without jail time.
It is a huge problem when fentanyl dealers’ activities result in our young people dying of overdoses.
Stand with Citizens for a Safer Contra Costa to set penalties that are a deterrent to criminals!
